RUGGEDIZED NEPTUNE |
This Neptune is geared primarily toward the military due to its ruggedized
construction.
It has all of the features of the Neptune, Plus: Aluminum case, Shatter /
scratch resistant glass lens, and Heater for LCD operation below -20 deg C. The
ruggedized version of Neptune is available with or without the speaker for alarm
operations.
The
Altimaster Neptune is the complete solution for altitude awareness. It's
Waterproof,
a Visual Altimeter, an Audible Altimeter,
Freefall Computer, and Logbook. The Altimaster Neptune was designed in
response to requests from pond swoopers wanting a waterproof altimeter, from AFF
instructors wanting a digital readout, from jumpers who wanted an easier way to
program their digital instruments.
Features: Digital GRAPHIC LCD display. Waterproof down to 6’ of water. Display
automatically changes to GROUND, AIRCRAFT, FREEFALL and CANOPY modes. Selectable
units, feet or meters. User friendly menu system. Automatic calibration for DZ
altitude (manual override is available). 30,000 feet MSL altitude range. Logbook
maintains total jumps, total freefall time, and a full set of statistics of the
last 200 jumps. Logs CRW jumps. Infrared interface for downloading log to a
laptop (client software will be released in September 03). Software updates will
be available from our website, no need to send your unit to us for updates. Four
groups of personalized audible alarm settings, each group has three programmable
alarms. Altitude is measured 16 times a second to ensure accuracy. Display can
be electronically flipped to allow a handmount to be worn on left or right
hands. Sleep mode extends battery life. Electroluminescent backlight. Training
mode simulates normal freefall and descent rate for normal deployment, high
speed and low speed malfunctions.
The Neptune now has Swoop
Mode - not just for the pros anymore! Field tested by the PD Factory Team and
our own test jumpers, Swoop Mode can help anyone concerned with safe canopy
piloting. Swoop mode gives you three programmable "chirps" under canopy, in
addition to your normal freefall alarms. Swoopers: No more flatline alarm under
canopy! Swoop Mode prevents the Neptune from going back into freefall mode once
you've opened. This means no screaming flatline alarm in your ear during
aggressive maneuvers. Wingsuit jumpers: It is possible that you can fly slow
enough to convince Neptune you are under canopy. If you have Swoop Mode active
and you fly slow enough to switch to canopy mode in freefall, the third
flat-line freefall alarm will be disabled even though you are still in
freefall!! The first two freefall alarms will function normally. Swoop Mode can
be easily disabled by turning off swoop alarms. When you're not doing a wingsuit
jump, you can turn it back on with the touch of a button!
Uses 1 commonly available CR2450
battery.
Headgear clip and hand mount are included.

MA-10 UD ALTIMETER |
 |
|
MA8-30
Electroluminescent
face pictured |
The
MA-10 altimeter is designed for high altitude 40,000' (12,000 meters) dual scale
military operation. The single revolution eliminates altitude confusion while
maintaining the traditional Altimaster face below 8000'. Unlike other military
altimeters where you had to choose a either 1 revolution 30,000' face, or a 2
1/2 revolution 12,000' face, the MA-10 is designed to be both. This is
especially helpful for HALO night jumps because the jumper does not have to keep
an eye on the needle as he would for a 2 1/2 revolution 12,000' face if he
cannot see the ground. It also eliminates confusion for jumpers normally used to
a 12,000' face but accidentally pulling at what they believe is 3000' while
using a 30,000' face, when in actuality they are at 7500'. For training purposes
the instrument has a simple zero function. For operational use the DZ altitude
and barometric pressure may be preset, and the MA-10 will display the correct
AGL altitude above the DZ.
The unit is based on a stepper motor design and is extremely robust, dropping
the instrument will not damage the mechanism.
Since the scale is controlled by the
embedded software, the user can specify the scale design when placing an order
(there is a minimum order quantity for customized dial faces).
The embedded software is
updateable. The altimeter is tested and certified to be Waterproof to a maximum
depth of 6 feet for one hour. Operational temperature range is -40 to +80
degrees Celsius. This
altimeter has a white face, black numbers, with yellow and red warning
sector, and reads in feet or meters. Usable to 40,000 feet or 12,000
meters MSL. The pointer turns 30,000 feet per revolution (1 revolution to
30,000 feet). It incorporates an Electro luminescent faceplate to provide an
even background illumination of the dial. The MA-10 has a robust aluminum frame,
easily accessible batteries (Type AA), and comes with a one piece wrist strap
which requires no tools to change. The weight is within 1 oz. of the original
MA2-30 altimeter design.

MILITARY ALTIMETER TEST CHAMBER |
The
TC-10 is portable test chamber designed to test up to 10 military Altimaster
altimeters. The unit is housed in a Pelican 1600 case.
The pump runs continuously, and when the test chamber is being loaded with
altimeters, the pump is creating a vacuum in a reservoir inside the test
chamber. The use of a vacuum reservoir allows for a more rapid climb to
altitude.
The TC-10 is a "vacuum only" chamber and tests from ambient altitude
to 30,000 feet MSL.
The TC-10 can be ordered in 110V or 220V.
Approximate dimensions: 8 1/2" X 19 1/2" X 24 1/2"
Approximate Weight: 46 lbs.

MILITARY ALTIMETER TEST CHAMBER |
The
TC-22 is portable test chamber designed to test up to 10 military Altimaster
altimeters over a complete range of altitudes, regardless of ambient altitude.
The TC-22 uses both vacuum and positive pressure sources to test from -1000 feet
to 30,000 feet MSL.
This test chamber is designed for users who are testing altimeters at an ambient
altitude significantly above zero MSL. This means that you can be at 8,000 feet
above seal level and test the altimeter as if it was starting at sea level
The TC-22 can be ordered in 110V or 220V.
Approximate dimensions: 8 1/2" X 19 1/2" X 24 1/2"
Approximate Weight: 67 lbs.
